"We were cut off! All tunnels and bridges were closed! The only way off Long Island was by boat, and we didn’t have one. Our city was under attack, and according to the news reports other targets were also being hit!
Earlier that beautiful September morning we had gathered as a staff to pray, a normal occurrence on a weekday at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Metro New York. In the midst of our prayers, we received word that a plane had flown into the World Trade Center. Rushing to the TV we watched in horror as another plane hit the second tower, and soon the towers were falling.
It didn’t take long for calls and emails to begin pouring in from YWAM leaders all over the world. “What can we do?” “How can we help?”
I realized I had no idea. I was still in shock, trying to wrap my mind around what was happening in our city, along with Pennsylvania and Washington DC. I cried out to the Lord and His answer was immediate and clear: "Use what I have already put in your hands.”
What was in our hands was a vision God gave to us in 1992, Prayer Stations. We obeyed the Lord and began to put Prayer Stations on the street in and around Ground Zero for a solid year, six days a week. On some days we had as many as 14 Prayer Station teams in lower Manhattan.
We prayed for more than 50,000 people that year and led more than 3,000 to Christ. Each contact was followed up by the Body of Christ in New York. It was this year-long outreach that brought a new and innovative Prayer Evangelism strategy to the attention of Christians from around the world. Now 24 years later we have equipped churches, ministries and missionaries with thousands of Prayer Stations in 14 different languages on every inhabited continent of the world!

John Woodward just sent a quick photo and message saying they were running the Prayer Station Classic at the Annual Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Praying for divine appointments and a fun, safe day of ministry!
Update from John after running the Prayer Station ministry:
Team lead, John Fedoronko writes:
“Ok everyone... The total is over 305 prayers (we lost count)... and 2 salvations. everyone did an awesome job. Thank you very much.”
Amen. And it sounds like we have 2 more volunteers. I will remind everyone of the online training at the Prayer Station website.
Thanks! God bless this ministry!
Yours in Christ,
John

Here is a quick testimony from Ed and Patti Lewis, longtime supporters and users of the Prayer Station ministry:
Yesterday, we trained six Prayer Station teams for the annual March for Jesus. We were out for three hours, had many decisions for Jesus and many were prayed for.

Here is an amazing testimony from Cory Smith from First Baptist Church Hildebran in North Carolina:
"We are using the Baptist On Mission Medical and Dental Buses to provide free medical and dental services for our community. We are also doing free book bags and school supplies and hair cuts. As they are here receiving services we are using Prayer Stations to pray for them and share the Gospel!"

Below is an amazing testimony by longtime friend Barry Kaplan, who has been running a Prayer Station ministry for many years. Read on...
Hi, my name is Barry and I met brother Nick approximately 20 years ago when he introduced me to the idea of the Prayer Station. I quickly realized that this idea was something special and brilliant and began using it immediately, and have done so up to this present time. Praying with others and evangelizing, sharing with them the life changing message of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is a winning combination.
My wife and I lead the street evangelism ministry at our church, World Harvest Community Center in Brooklyn, New York. Our ministry consists of 10 brothers and sisters besides my wife and I, who are dedicated to fulfilling The Great Commission of going into all the world with the Gospel (Mark 16:15).
The response on the streets has been overwhelmingly positive, with many accepting the invitation of prayer. Large numbers of people are accepting the Lord for the first time and many are recommitting themselves back to the Lord. We also provide the address and location of our church to those who are seeking a church home.
We wish to extend a very big thank you to the Living Waters Ministry for their generous contributions to us in supplying us with their Gospels of John in English and Spanish. We have given out literally thousands of these attractive little books.
We also wish to thank brother Nick and his dedicated family for their steadfast commitment in bringing Prayer Stations literally around the world in 11 different languages. May The Lord bless this family with good health and resources, enabling them to continue expanding this wonderful ministry.
And of course we wish to thank The Holy Spirit for inspiring brother Nick with this wonderful idea for Prayer Station Evangelism over 30 years ago.
Your brother and co-laborer in The Gospel,
Barry
