2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
I am sure most of you would agree that this has been a very irregular, and emotional week. Those of us that are followers of Jesus watched in horror as Charlie Kirk's life was taken by someone that clearly had been influenced by evil. We all have witnessed an extremely wide spectrum of responses, and that is what I wanted to touch on here.
If you have spent any time online, I am sure you have seen the completely immoral and evil responses by those who clearly do not have identity in Christ. Teachers losing their jobs, people getting taken out of the military, the list is growing long of people getting their due for posting inappropriate videos and posts, celebrating in one's murder.
This morning as I watched yet another video of someone that posted a quick celebration, wearing a very colorful outfit, colored hair, colored lashes, etc. It just hit me… where is she getting her identity from?
You may immediately be throwing out your own answer… one of the many different "communities" that wear similar attire, and each of these groups definitely could be contributing factors. But the one clearly missing factor is her having an identity in Christ.
I am sure we would all agree that if you are not a follower of Jesus, then you are "left" to try and join a group that will take you in. Everyone wants to feel connected, wanted, to be a part of something. The problem comes when you are looking to the world for your identity.
There are many places in the Bible that Believers look to gain understanding in what it means to be in relationship and identity with Jesus and be one of his followers.
For instance, Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
When you see these individuals posting their videos and tweets, do you get any sense they are following the fruits of the Spirit? I would then ask, what are we doing to reach these people for Jesus?
One answer is the Prayer Station ministry, which offers the opportunity to reach people in your community with free prayer. Through the course of conversation and prayer, it opens the door for people to potentially hear the Good News of Jesus Christ for the first time, or in a way that they have never heard it before.
If this is the first time you are hearing about this ministry, please check it out at prayerstations.org. Thousands of churches, ministries and individuals have purchased their own Prayer Station so they can go out and reach people for Jesus Christ in their own communities. It is an amazing, successful ministry and there are thousands upon thousands of people that have come into new relationship with Him as a direct result of people simply obeying His command to "Go out and preach the Gospel".
If you have an interest in getting a Prayer Station for your community, feel free to reach out directly to me (ron@prayerstations.org) and I will be happy to talk to you.
Lets all get out and bring people back to relationship with Jesus!

"We were cut off! All tunnels and bridges were closed! The only way off Long Island was by boat, and we didn’t have one. Our city was under attack, and according to the news reports other targets were also being hit!
Earlier that beautiful September morning we had gathered as a staff to pray, a normal occurrence on a weekday at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Metro New York. In the midst of our prayers, we received word that a plane had flown into the World Trade Center. Rushing to the TV we watched in horror as another plane hit the second tower, and soon the towers were falling.
It didn’t take long for calls and emails to begin pouring in from YWAM leaders all over the world. “What can we do?” “How can we help?”
I realized I had no idea. I was still in shock, trying to wrap my mind around what was happening in our city, along with Pennsylvania and Washington DC. I cried out to the Lord and His answer was immediate and clear: "Use what I have already put in your hands.”
What was in our hands was a vision God gave to us in 1992, Prayer Stations. We obeyed the Lord and began to put Prayer Stations on the street in and around Ground Zero for a solid year, six days a week. On some days we had as many as 14 Prayer Station teams in lower Manhattan.
We prayed for more than 50,000 people that year and led more than 3,000 to Christ. Each contact was followed up by the Body of Christ in New York. It was this year-long outreach that brought a new and innovative Prayer Evangelism strategy to the attention of Christians from around the world. Now 24 years later we have equipped churches, ministries and missionaries with thousands of Prayer Stations in 14 different languages on every inhabited continent of the world!

We just received a testimony from someone that visited a Prayer Station in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Joe S writes us...
"I went to the Farmers Market in Ft. Pierce, Florida. The first thing I saw was a Prayer Station.
What a gift. A couple offered me their prayers. Job well done. Godspeed your mission."

My sister and I (Gui & Elaine) are musicians and have been serving full-time at the YWAM Auckland base since 2014. We love joining the Prayer Station team in town as a part of activating our calling for ministry.
The Prayer Station ministry happens throughout the entire year, every Friday night from 7-9:30 pm right in the heart of Auckland City, New Zealand, on Queen Street. In this location we have had the privilege to reach people from different ethnicities and backgrounds from across the globe.
The Prayer Station ministry here in New Zealand is led by a South Korean couple, Peter and Esther Kim. They have a heart for evangelism and the Word of God, and provide the opportunity for Christ followers and different church groups to join their ministry each Friday night to help spread the Good News as well as pray for people.

What a successful outreach event! We had the opportunity to partner with Dr. Chauncey Crandall and his Healing Encounter Nights, providing places for people to receive prayer. So many stories to tell of people that needed prayer for healing, for sickness, to recommit their lives to Christ… each story representing someone recognizing the need for a special encounter with God.
